Yesterday I did work experience again at the Heritage Inn. That was fun. I was in housekeeping, so I ended up making beds and cleaning all day. Meh, it wasn't as bad as it sounds. Turns out they're shortstaffed and need help, so I'm working there on weekends from now until...well whenever pretty much. I also got paid for all of yesterday so that's uber cool:). After work, I went to Reva's birthday party. We went minigolfing in the rain, and watched Kill Bill Vol.1 and Brother Bear, both good movies. Oh, and just because it was her 18th birthday, me and her went and bought some birthday candles for her cake, and porn, because she could. She got id'd. Twas funny.
I had a choir performance with the Welshmen's choir from Vancouver and Ballenas. The Welshmen's Choir was awesome. Ballenas was....different. They have a completely different mindset about choir than us. It seems like choir isn't really a priority (none of the male choir members showed up due to reasons I couldn't find out) and that it's not really important at all.
I had an interesting conversation on Friday with my mom. She was complaining about how I hadn't handed in a few things in some of my classes. I asked her if she had handed in everything in all of her classes in high school. I was astonished and thought that was an extremely bold statement to be making....Maybe two people I know, both of whom have graduated, have handed in everything assigned to them in their whole high school careers. Both of these people were over-achievers and didn't do much other than school and music. Then my dad came home and I asked him....and he claimed the same thing. So I brought up how we are expected to learn more, in less time, because of technology advances. So if anyone other than Jarrett or Phil has handed in every single assignment they have been assigned, no matter how insignifigant or small...let me know please. Email me at palapaloozaa@hotmail.com
